Nosotras nos quedamos es la parte central de la exposición en el MACAZ. En ella se instaló el trabajo que se hizo con las 5 mujeres de Cucuchucho.  Incluye dos series fotográficas a la que se añaden las mujeres de Tupatarillo con las que se trabajó en los últimos meses del 2008.

En  Las cartas  se utilizan textos escritos de su puño y letra dirigidos a sus ausentes, con los que se intervienen sus retratos. Una de las cartas, la de Josefina, es dirigida a Dora Denis, su pequeña de 5 años, quien logró pasar la frontera y permanece con familiares del otro lado mientras ella, su marido y otra de sus hijas fueron detenidos y deportados por la migra hace apenas pocos meses

We Stay is the central part of the exhibition in the Contemporary Art Museum Alfredo Zalce, where is shown the work made with the five women of Cucuchucho. It includes two photographic series along with the Tupatarillo women previously interviewed in 2008.

In Las Cartas (the Letters), l used handwritten letters to their absent ones to intervene their portraits. One of those letters, Josefina's, is addressed to her 5 year old daughter Dora Denis, who is living now in the other side of the border, while Josefina, her husband and another teenager daughter where deported by the migra a few months ago.

Velices de Identidad, fueron realizados por las manos y emociones de cada una de ellas. Arte objeto arrancado a la artesanía. Velices que contienen la versión personal de su propia identidad, con la que viajan por esta vida sin la necesidad de cruzar fronteras físicas. Cada veliz es un altar. Su ser mujer, purépecha y de Cucuchucho se une a sus raíces particulares y al elemento simbólico de su propio ser individual: Soy Guadalupe y esto me representa.

Estas piezas rompen en si una frontera conceptual, la que divide el arte de la artesanía. Forman parte de un corpus que las coloca en el territorio del arte contemporáneo, lo que les proporciona, a ellas, las autoras, una realidad nueva de la que son protagonistas. Es así como estas mujeres caminan y en su caminar dejan una impronta única que las acerca cada vez más a su esencia, a la vez que enriquecen con su aportación al quehacer artístico contemporáneo, que clama por sangre fresca, sentido profundo, diversidad de visiones y traducciones de la vida.

Velices de Identidad (Identity suitcases) were made by the hands and emotions of each woman. Art coming from handcraft. Suitcases containing the personal version of their own identity, travelling with it through this life without crossing any physical border. Each suitcase is an altar. Their woman, purépecha and Cucuchucho being gets together with their particular roots and to the symbolic element of their own individual self: l am Guadalupe and this represents me

These works themselves break a conceptual border divding art from handcraft. Are part of a body of work that sets them in Contemporary Art territory and give the authors a new reality to which they are protagonists. Is like this that these women walk and in their path they leave a unique mark that gets them closer to their own essence and at the same time enrich Contemporary Art, always claiming for fresh blood, deep sense, diversity of visions and translations from life.  

Este video contiene 5 entrevistas de 5 minutos cada una. Todas ellas son cabeza de familia durante la mayor parte del año debido a la migración de sus maridos. Las entrevistas fueron un  hurgar dentro de los sentimientos que ocasiona ese abandono temporal, que va de 8 meses anuales  a 5 años consecutivos, y en el que son –aparentemente- dueñas de sí mismas. ¿Qué sensaciones se despiertan al estar solas? ¿Al tomar las decisiones cotidianas? ¿Al no compartir la cama? ¿Qué tanto la ausencia es presencia?  Y esa libertad, ¿hasta dónde llega? ¿Cómo y qué tanto cambia su vida cuando él regresa?  Y ¿las de sus hijos e hijas?

this video is made with 5 minute interviews to the 5 Cucuchucho women. All of them are left alone most of the year by their migrating husbands. The interviews dove into the feelings resulting from this temporary abandonment -from 8 months to 5 years- in which the women are, apparently, their own master. How do they feel when they're by themselves? how when they made the daily decisions? when not having to share the bed? how absence is really presence? And that freedom, how real is it? How does life change when they are back home? and their children's?
