


Her art is neither
pastiche nor ironic comment, for her artworks and actions express
the spirit of the tradition while at the same time allowing her to
comment on current cultural, political and ecological issues.
Much of Ross's
work reminds me of poetry (which she also writes), and specially of
Welsh poetry. In both there is a sense of living in two worlds, one
a hidden, almost submerged culture, out of the fusion of which a new
understanding begins to emerge.
