A nomadic but Mexican artist, weaver of encounters, curator and healer of Nahuatl, Asturian and Mexican blood, since 1976 I have searched and found myself, once and again.
I am tied to art and thus I avoid shipwreck. Everything I know has come to me by intuition and fstuborness, by necessity and desire, search and discovery. My path led me through the complex paths of ceramics, to dock in primitive simplicity. To digital technologies that are an opportunity to manipulate dreams. To the ritual axions, the invoking words, the objects-symbols. To the installations that create alternate states, the interventions that appropriate the space, the images that are memory, the voices that question us.
I gave birth to Amadís and Alonso, but I also have the drive to invent multiple long-term projects that favor participatory processes. My work has reached port and base in streets, forests, squares, volcanoes, museums, universities and cultural centers; in closed, public and wild spaces in the Americas, Europes, Japan, Australia and China, a country with which I have a close relationship.
I found and direct 5célula, arte y comunidad to generate artistic projects at an international level, such as the Festival of Chinese Video Artists in Mexico. I am honorary member of the National System of Art Creators and had obtained scholarships and residences that both encourage and feed my being and my doing.

My practice has been focused in exploring how identity, genre, transmigration, myth and ritual intertwines in uncommon territories, looking for empathetic flows of action and thought on this liquid world.

My work researches how mythologies create mental structures, like ageing, strengthening the dominant powers affecting mainly women, and how social resistance is a balancing energy that constructs deep changes and new sustainable myths, constantly designing society.

An important aim of my work deals with community interactivity and co-creation of the poetic-artistic action, in a social and natural medium able to broaden traditional art spaces.

My practice evolves through a constant development of intertwined diverse and multiple actions, with feminism as a cross line.

For me everything is artwork.
